RAY HORTON'S
JOURNEY

Just a kid from Tacoma, Washington. Ray grew up the 4th of 5 children of Albert and Josie Horton. Albert was a proud member of the U.S. Army and served our country honorably in WWII.

BUILDING A LONG LASTING LEGACY

Ray started his wealth building journey as a child by delivering newspapers at 6 in the morning and then later in life at the age of 15, as a dishwasher in a chinese restaurant after school until 11 p.m., then walking the 2 miles home.

He is known as the first college student athlete to attend college 8 months before his graduating high school class at the University of Washington. After graduating from the U.W., Ray was the first Husky from the class of 1983 to be draft by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1983 NFL draft. He finished his 10 year NFL career as a player with the Dallas Cowboys, going out as Super Bowl XXVII Champion.

EVERYTHING IS SIMPLE, IF YOU UNDERSTAND IT

Ray transitioned from the NFL as a player, to the NFL as a coach with the Washington Redskins. His coaching journey took him to 3 more Super Bowls. He had the honor to coach a number of NFL Hall of Fame players and NFL Pro Bowlers. He finished his coaching career as the Head Coach of the Pittsburgh Maulers of the USFL and quickly led them from worst to first place and the Championship game.

He now spends his time mentoring youth and flying his personal airplane across the USA, and is the winner of over 40 amateur golf events.

“Coach Ray had a rare ability to motivate our players to achieve a level beyond, that of which they believed themselves to be capable of. he has the heart of a teacher and the communication skill of a professor.”
